Tavira Castle, rebuilt by King Dinis (1261-1325) incorporates part of the former Moorish fortification. High on a central hill, from the castle, you can see the whole of Tavira with its multitude of spires and bell-towers spread out over the two halves of the city cut in tow by the River Sequia. |
