| Future Golf Courses - What the future holds. |

| The area along the Guadiana River between the bridge and the Anzinhal region is soon to see a major increase in golfing facilities with at least three golf courses in the pipe-line; Almada d'Ouro in the north, Quinta do Vale in the south and Cortes Velha in between them. A fourth golf course is planned just to the west of Monte Gordo. |
| With the existing course of Islas Canelas just over the river in Spain and the course at Castro Marim, the addition of the above mentioned four planned courses is set to transform the arera of Vila Real St. António/Guadiana River into one of the Algarve's most significant golfing regions. |
| Tavira is also expected to become a major golfing centre with the construction of two Jack Niklaus courses just north of Cacela. |
